If you are joining the School as a new student in September 2010 - either as a first year or a Direct Entrant to Level 2 or 3 - you will find information here about the start of term and about your induction and registration soon
The School of Humanities & Social Sciences is home to studies in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Law, English & Drama, Creative or Media Writing and Journalism, Languages and International Studies, Media and Film Studies, History, Philosophy, Politics and Sociology. You will find below a list of the various foundation programmes and degree programmes in the School.

Induction begins on Monday 20 September, and it consists of a weeks introduction and orientation activities including meetings with your tutors and with other students on your programme; optional social and fresher's activities; introductions to studying at university and to the library and university facilities; a range of events organised by the Students Union. Further details are given below.
You will also register - or complete your registration - during induction week and you will find important information below about registration.
