Coursework deadlines are set by course tutors, please check with them or refer to the course Moodle page if you are unsure of the date.
All coursework must be submitted electronically unless otherwise stated by your course tutor. Please also see the ‘Exceptions’ information below. This electronic copy of your coursework should be submitted via Turnitin through the appropriate Moodle site.
You can access the Moodle sites for all of your courses, through the ‘My Learning’ channel in the Portal.
The electronic copy must be submitted before 23h59 on deadline day. Make sure that you have familiarised yourself with the course Moodle site well ahead of the deadline. Typically, you will find a folder on the Moodle site which contains all of the assignments that you will complete over the course of the year.
Headersheets
To identify your work, you need to copy the appropriate coursework Header Sheet into the first page of your assignment. Please see the Coursework Submission Guide for instructions.
You can access a headersheet for a course to which you are correctly assigned in Bannerweb. You must check that your programme of study is correct and complete a course change form (in the first two weeks of term) if corrections are necessary.
These forms need to be countersigned by the appropriate lecturer as shown on the form. If you cannot access a headersheet, either because you have not registered for the course or because you have a debt to the University, your work will not be accepted. This is not an extenuating circumstance.
You need to access Bannerweb in order to copy and paste the headersheet to your coursework. This can be accessed via the The Portal.
NB: The Header Sheet should comprise the first page of your assignment. Your work should begin on page 2.
For further guidance on using BannerWeb go to the Banner site http://www.gre.ac.uk/bannerinfo/
There may be some exceptions to online submission which will be indicated by the relevant course lecturer. For example:
Dissertations must be submitted via Turnitin AND in hard copy. Two bound copies must be handed in to the Humanities and Social Sciences Reception (either KW020 or QM 202) by 4pm on the deadline date.
Language Portfolios are NOT submitted electronically. The hard copy must be submitted to the Humanities and Social Sciences Reception (either KW020 or QM 202) by 4pm on the deadline date.
In the few instances where hard copies are required, it is also possible to post the work. You must use recorded delivery and the postmark must be dated on or before the day of submission. Please keep your receipt from the Post Office. Post to:

Work put under the door or handed to a member of staff or the security guard will not be receipted and submitted for marking.
