Stockwell Street Development

New campus library and new academic building

The university is investing £76 million to bring new life to the derelict town centre Stockwell Street site. A new building, designed by Heneghan Peng architects, will house the campus library, TV studios and the School of Architecture, Design & Construction.

A gallery and cafe, open to the community, will be part of an elegant glazed frontage at ground floor level and a new pedestrian path will link Stockwell Street with King William Walk alongside the railway cutting.
