Commandant Anthea Larken CBE, HonLLD

Anthea Larken joined the WRNS in 1956 as a Range Assessor.  Commissioned at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich, in 1960, she qualified as a Photographic Interpreter and served in various intelligence appointments including in Singapore during confrontation with Indonesia (1964-66).  There followed various staff appointments including Naval Assistant to the Admiral President at the Royal Naval College (1972-1974) and Officer in charge WRNS Officers’ Training when it was moved from Greenwich to Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth (1976-1978).
