Guidance for making a Tier 4 application

From spring 2009, new immigration regulations for students came into effect. Applications for a student visa extension must now be done under the new Points Based System. This is called a Tier 4 application.

The legislation surrounding the introduction of Tier 4 is complex and fast moving. ISAS are working hard to bring you the most current and authoritative information.

It is very important you check the news announcements that appear on these page and the student portal for any new updates and latest version of the guidance documents (see below).

ISAS have published downloadable guidance for students making a Tier 4 student visa application on both the documents required by the application and how to complete the  application itself.

Help with your student visa extension application

Students requiring to complete a Tier 4 student visa application are requested to attend one of the workshops run by the university's International Student Advice Service (ISAS). The workshops are aimed at helping students to complete the process up to the stage at which you post it to the UKBA. Places on workshops can be booked with your campus Student Centre.
