Code of Practice: BANNER Web

 

  1. BannerWeb is the University of Greenwich Web facility that allows students access to view, and in some cases amend, parts of their student record data.
  2. As a fully registered student of the University you may have access to BannerWeb. The facility allows you to check certain data relating to your student record. You will be notified if you have access.
  3. In order to use BannerWeb, you require a PIN, which together with your individual student reference number provides secure access to the facility. Your PIN is your personal responsibility and you should keep it secret. If you suspect others know your PIN you should change it, and report the matter to the University authorities.
  4. In certain authorised circumstances you may be able to use your BannerWeb account to change data in your student record online, for example, course choices. Such changes will be recorded against your ID and PIN. Under no circumstances, therefore, should you allow people to access your BannerWeb account. If you do, you will be held responsible for any misuse or misconduct by them, as well as for your own actions.
