Essentials
Jellicoe building houses Essentials, the campus convenience store. This stocks a wide range of food and drink, as well as stationery, newspapers and magazines, greetings cards and university-branded clothing.
Dockside Outlet Centre
A few minutes from the campus, this houses a range of discount outlets, including top-name clothing and household items. A food court provides a range of options for meals. Two-minute walk from the centre is the Ship and Trades pub and a small local supermarket.

Local high streets
Both Chatham and Gillingham high streets are approximately a twenty minute walk away from the campus, offering high street names and handy banks and cash points. Rochester has more individual shops selling quirkier items, as well as a market, and of course, the stunning historic backdrop of the cathedral and castle.
