*AccessAbility Access Days
Building on the success of the past four years, the *AccessAbility Project are pleased to be hosting three Access Days this term. The morning sessions will focus on issues which may enable a young disabled person (this includes physical disabilities, SpLD and mental health difficulty) to consider university as a credible career path. Sessions will include information relevant to disabled students in higher education – such as funding, human support and technological support. The events will also have subject-specific information associated which each campus. The three dates are as follows:
| Date | Subjects | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday 30 March | Anthropology and arts | Goldsmiths, University of London, New Cross |
| Wednesday 21 April | Science and engineering | University of Greenwich (Medway Campus) |
| Monday 26 April | ICT, teaching and business | University of Greenwich (Greenwich Campus) |
The events are free to attend and lunch/refreshments will be provided. We ask that students bring any required support staff with them. Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend. The sessions are delivered by disability support staff and academics, although the majority of the sessions involve the *AccessAbility Ambassadors. A minimum of ten visitors and a maximum of 30 visitors are welcome to attend. Visitors are welcome to attend more than one event if they are undecided about which subject to study at university.
Booking places are essential for catering purposes and to ensure we have adequate resources available for everyone - please use the booking form on this site. The cut off dates for receiving bookings is seven days before the event.
