A-level students seeking a university place when their results arrive next week will be able to talk to Greenwich advisers face-to-face – wherever they are.

The university has added Skype to its phone, online chat and social media channels to ensure applicants can contact them as easily as possible next Thursday 13 August.

"Callers are under pressure to secure a place the same day," says Bev Woodhams, Head of Central Recruitment. "Clearing, the period when universities fill all remaining places, is getting faster each year. We're doing what we can to reduce the stress."

Greenwich made around 500 offers on A-level results day in 2014. This year a hundred advisers and academics will be ready to meet the rush.

Applicants can also walk on to any of the university's three campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway to talk to an adviser, fill the forms and take a tour.

Different ways you can talk to the University of Greenwich during Clearing:
* Call or Skype the Clearing Hotline on: 0208 331 9000
