The university's 2017-18 undergraduate prospectus has just been published – with a distinctive pink cover.

Much longer than recent editions, at 140 pages, it offers detailed programme information, along with advice about careers, finance, accommodation and student life.

The new look was developed in response to feedback from potential applicants and requests from colleagues across the university.

"We tested different cover designs at Open Days," says Chris King from the Marketing team in the Communications & Recruitment Directorate. "This is the one that resonated with the target audience. Pink is a memorable colour; it stands out and remains in people's minds."

Inside the publication, clear colour coding and an extensive index help readers find what they're interested in, with the minimum of trouble. New infographics show Greenwich at a glance, showing the university in numbers.

Now, 56,000 copies are being distributed at school visits, Open Days and recruitment fairs, in the UK and internationally. Enquirers can also have a copy sent to them. The next step is to put prospectus content online, followed by the publication of the postgraduate prospectus later in the year.

Robert Mayor, Director of Communications & Recruitment, says: "This new prospectus will help Greenwich to stand out in an increasingly competitive student recruitment market. Working closely with the faculties, colleagues in the new directorate are also boosting social media, spicing up our open days and rolling out the new customer relationship management system. There's more to come – look out for our new advertising campaign, to be unveiled this summer."
