Most beautiful campusOne of the most beautiful university campuses in the country can be found at the University of Greenwich, according to a prestigious international news site.

In a new poll, Business Insider ranks Greenwich in fifth position in its assessment of the most stunning UK campuses, jostling for top spot with Oxford, Cambridge, Glasgow and King's College London, which also make it into the top five.

Business Insider describes itself as "the largest business news site on the web", with eight international editions reaching millions of users each month.

Based at a UNESCO World Heritage site by the River Thames, and featuring baroque buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the Old Royal Naval College is home to Greenwich's largest campus.

It is a famous location which often attracts national media attention and frequently appears in feature films.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide commented: "The university accurately describes its main campus as one of the grandest university settings in the world… the buildings conjure up images of history and science in equal measure." A previous Sunday Times Guide had stated that Greenwich "had premises to match any Oxbridge college".

Greenwich has enjoyed several other accolades in recent times. It was ranked as one of the "most international" universities on the planet by Times Higher Education, a tribute to its global outlook and partnerships, and as one of the UK's most LGBT+ friendly workplaces in the Stonewall Top 100 employers list.

The university's next open days take place on Saturday 8 October. These include tours around all three of its magnificent campuses. To find out more:
