ClearingWith less than a month to go before A-level results are announced, school and college leavers are busy signing up for the University of Greenwich Priority Clearing service.

Being part of Priority Clearing means degree course seekers will be at the front of the university's queue when they receive their A-level results on Thursday 17 August.

They will have all the information they need at their fingertips ready to apply for a course to match their career aspirations as soon as they know their results.

The university has campuses at Chatham Maritime and Avery Hill, as well as its world heritage site at Greenwich. There will be campus tours throughout the week following A-level results day, led by current students keen to share their experiences of courses and student life.

Clearing is an opportunity for students whose grades may not be quite as they expected, have changed their minds about their career plans, or decided to apply after main cycle deadlines.

Adjustment is open to those students who have performed better than expected and now may wish consider study opportunities beyond original grade predictions. Whatever the reason or circumstances, Greenwich can help.

The university's Clearing advisers are already busy taking calls from potential students who have their examination results, as well as people of all ages keen to update their professional qualifications or make a career change.

The team of advisers, including academics and students, is trained in helping potential undergraduates. If a chosen course is not available, they can recommend other courses which will achieve the same goals.

Being prepared is key to a successful Clearing, according to the Greenwich advisers.
