Charlton Athletic will have some help from the University of Greenwich when they take on Bury at The Valley this week.

Film, IT and Sport Science students will be working with Charlton's staff as part of University of Greenwich Day at The Valley on Saturday 23 September (kick off 3pm).

They will be taking part in various activities, such as the players' warm-up, match commentary and filming, interviews, and presenting the man of the match award. There will also be eight student ambassadors on matchday duty, helping promote the university's links with Charlton.

Anne Poulson, Chief Operating Officer at Greenwich, says: "Last season's Takeover Day was a great success and this time we will have more students gaining a valuable insight into the workings of a professional football club.

"This will give them the chance to put into practice the skills they have been working on and it's another example of the close relationship between the university and Charlton Athletic."

The activities will raise awareness of Greenwich's Open Days and highlight the partnership between the club and universities, as well as the opportunities available to students.
