Several leading television producers, a BAFTA nominee and an Anglican bishop are set to be honoured this week at the fourth annual Greenwich Portraits exhibition.

The event, on Wednesday 20 February, celebrates Greenwich graduates, plus some current students, who have made considerable impacts in their chosen fields.

This year's portraits are being kept under wraps until the exhibition launches, but will include a sibling football management team, a Portuguese vineyard owner, a global sports ethicist and a campaigner for refugees.

The portraits, which will be unveiled at an event on the Greenwich campus of the university, aim to inspire future generations of students as well as celebrating the networks that are made at university, and often serve students for life.

University of Greenwich Vice Chancellor, David Maguire, said: "Greenwich Portraits is a chance to celebrate the successes of some of our most inspirational graduates.

"This year's featured alumni are a talented group, active across a broad range of fields. Some of them graduated a little while ago now and have forged a path with careers that has opened doors to the graduates that have come after them, and others are using the latest thinking and technology to improve the lives of future generations."

President of the Greenwich Students Union, Meike Imberg, was also featured in 2017.

Meike said: "It was a great honour to be one of the Greenwich Portraits 2017 and it really made me #ProudToBeGRE! We have such an amazing and diverse community at the University of Greenwich and it's important we encourage our students – and the wider community – to be the best they can and to do what they love!

"The Portraits are a fantastic way to celebrate the successes of our community and I will always be grateful I got to be a part of this project!"

Former Portraits include Dave Rowntree from the band Blur, Doreen Lawrence, Baroness Lawrence of Clarendon and the late Nobel Laureate, Sir Charles Kao. Find out more on our Alumni Website.
