Pioneering mechanical genius honoured by plaque

Modern cutting-edge technology paid tribute to an early pioneer when the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) of UK and Ireland unveiled a Commemoration Plaque to honour the celebrated clockmaker John Harrison at the University of Greenwich.

Weather update: campuses open

All three campuses, and the Bathway site in Woolwich, are open as usual and the intercampus bus service is running to its normal timetable. Awards ceremonies are taking place as scheduled on the Greenwich Campus. Should graduands or guests be unable to get to their ceremony on time, staff will make every effort to find space for them in a later ceremony.
