Mathematics at Greenwich Faculty of Architecture, Computing & Humanities

No.1 in London for student satisfaction in Mathematics (The Complete University Guide 2018)

An innovative approach to teaching, a friendly and supportive environment and a beautiful campus close to the City of London and Canary Wharf are just a few of the reasons maths at Greenwich regularly tops the league tables for student satisfaction.

Our range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are designed to provide the academic and practical skills employers want with an emphasis on the application of mathematics in areas such as finance, statistics and operational research.

Walking on Custard at the Department of Mathematical Sciences

We like to use innovative and fun methods to demonstrate the relevance of mathematics to business, engineering, and the sciences. As part of the 2017 IMA Festival of Mathematics, which was hosted by our department, our students and lecturers showed that it is possible to run across a bath of custard - a phenomena with interesting applications that we study using mathematics.
