Projects GWizards

"It's good for gaining programming experience as this is a field you need to have relevant experience in on my current course and for my future career." (second year GWizards student, BSc Hons Business Computing)

Over the last year our GWizard students have been working on a number of different types of projects, for a number of different types of organisations, using a variety of technologies.

Types of projects: Our students have undertaken proof-of-concept/prototyping developments as part of the Masters Degree Project course, the Undergraduate Final Year Project course and the Final Year Industry Work Practice course.

In addition to this, our GWizards students and recent graduates have volunteered during term time and holidays to develop websites, short films and provide software development support to a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Types of Organisations: Our students have undertaken projects for charities, not-for-profit organisations, the NHS, Schools, Commercial organisations and University of Greenwich departments.

Types of leading-edge technologies: Our students have been putting into practice the skills and knowledge acquired as part of their undergraduate degree/masters degree programmes.

Some of the technologies they have been using for their GWizards projects include Java, Spring Hibernate, XML, HTML, ASP.Net, MySQL, and PHP.

Read about some of the projects our GWizards students have been involved with - case studies summarising some of the exciting opportunities our students have been working on over the last year. We will be updating these case studies regularly, so please come back and look again.
