The Department must respond formally in writing to issues raised in the external's annual report each academic session.

Points and comments raised by an external examiner can be addressed informally at any time during the academic session but the Department/School must also respond formally in writing to issues raised in the external's annual report each academic session.

How should the response be made?

A formal written Departmental/School response to each External Examiner's report, endorsed by the Faculty, must be sent by the Head of Department/School to the examiner and copied to the local Greenwich Learning and Teaching (GLT) Quality Officer.
