Prior to obtaining University authorisation to schedule approval of a new programme of study there are key stages that must be undertaken when putting forward a proposal.

Key stages

Key stages that must be undertaken when putting forward a proposal:

  1. Discuss the programme development with the Department and agree in principle to take it forward.
  2. Commission a Market Research Report from the Communications and Recruitment Directorate.
  3. Secure Faculty endorsement of the proposal.

Once Faculty agreement has been secured the proposal can be presented to the University's Academic Planning Committee (APC) to be authorised. It can then undergo detailed development and be placed on a schedule of approval by the Academic Quality Unit.
