Think ahead and get registered to vote before the 22 May deadline.

If you have moved since you last voted or will change address by 8 June you should register again. You don't need to register again if you have already registered.

To register quickly have your NI number ready

If you don't have your National Insurance number, call 0300 200 3502 or visit gov.uk/apply-national-insurance-number ASAP, so it's sent to you before 22 May.

If you're unsure if you'll be at your home or term-time address...

You can register at both, but can only vote once in the general election. Register at gov.uk/register-to-vote. It's an offence to vote twice.

If you'll be on holiday, or unsure where you will be or unable to get to your polling station on 8 June...

Once you're registered you can apply for a postal vote by 5pm on 23 May. Or you can apply for a proxy vote by 5pm on 31 May.
