Marketing Events and Tourism | Fundraising Events Festival

TLDRoffon

The Marketing Events and Tourism (MET) Department is pleased to announce the start of our annual Fundraising Events Festival.

From 14th February to 11th March, our second-year students on the BA Events Management and BA Hospitality Management degree programmes as well as our MA International Events Management students will be holding a series of exciting fundraising events for local charities that they are working with. Our students apply the theory they have covered in their studies to deliver these events and each year they raise over £6,000 for several amazing charities. The events have ranged from active games nights like The Greenwich Games for Youth Sports Trust in 2020 to the highly entertaining Greenwich’s Got Talent Virtual event for The Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) during Lockdown.

This year our students are producing another series of exciting in-person and virtual events for charities such as Royal Marsden, Orphans in Need, Roots and Shoots, Terrance Higgins Trust, Mind, Oxfam, and Women’s Aid. Please download a copy of our attached flyer listing all the events or take a quick look at the digest below to keep track of upcoming events over the next few weeks.

Links to the event pages as well as donation links have been included so that you can buy tickets and attend or donate to one of the good causes.

We hope you will join us as we have some fun over the next few weeks and do some good.
