My favourite memory would have to be when we did the networking preparation event. I really enjoyed that because I got to see some good presentations that gives you some very valuable skills, which you can use when you're attending networking events and conferences. I also enjoyed it because I got to meet all my fellow classmates who were actually on the full-time course.

How did your degree help you to tackle your leadership and professional skills?

The main thing that I've picked up from leadership learning is about the different styles of leadership, but also learning about the different skills that leaders need to adopt in order to be successful.

Tell us about your current job, your career and also more about your role as well.

I work for the electricity distribution company that's responsible for ensuring that all the lights stay on in London and the south east.

My role as a project manager in one of the innovation teams, is to look at how we can introduce new technologies and innovation to projects for our customers including airports, railways, public infrastructure and large energy users, such as the commercial and industrial sector.

It's my responsibility to inform my customers about technologies such as energy storage, and help them to understand the benefits and energy savings that can be realised.

Where does your drive and determination come from?

My drive and determination comes from wanting to build a better future. I'm very passionate about changing the world into a world, where when it comes to energy, we use it in a responsible way.

It's affordable for everybody and it's reliable. And if I can be involved in a business that helps to enable that, that's where I want to be, and that's what I'm driving towards, trying to create a better world for us all to live in and for future generations.
