Rethink Mental Illness

Research shows that mental health problems, like depression and anxiety, are more common in the LGBT+ community. Rethink have put together information about being LGBT+ and mental health, as well as a list of specialist LGBT+ charities and mental health services that you may be able to access for support.

Student Minds

UK charity Student Minds recognises that the student LGBTQ+ community can be under-represented and may be at risk of experiencing mental health difficulties at university. They have gathered lots of tips and information from university professionals and Student Minds alumni to create this guide for LGBTQ+ students and friends.

Stonewall

Stonewall’s ‘Prescription for Change’ report found lesbian and bisexual women had higher rates of suicidal thoughts and self-harm compared to women in general. Use their services to find information and support for LGBT+ communities and their allies.

LGBT+ History Month at Greenwich

Each February we celebrate the LGBT+ community by raising awareness and promoting equality. You can read some of our stories and find out how we are supporting our LGBT+ students and colleagues at the university.

LGBT+ Student Network

The Greenwich Student Union have appointed a Liberation Organiser to lead the LGBT+ Student Network advocate for students to make positive change at the university.

The LGBT+ Network enables members of the LGBT+ community to come together to share information, support and discuss concerns and problems related to the Network.
