This annual cycle is part of our Academic Framework and replaces the HERA Grading Review and Assessment Procedure (GRAP) promotion rounds for all academics.
The Career Pathway Academic Promotions process supports a consistent, equitable mechanism for assessing and rewarding an individual's contribution to academic life.
To apply:
Colleagues considering applying for promotion or alignment to the Career Pathway levels should read the guidance and information to familiarise themselves with the process. They should also discuss with their Head of Schools/Departments (or equivalent line manager) their intention to submit an application.
On decided to apply for promotion or alignment, colleagues should ensure they use the appropriate application form to record their evidence against their chosen career pathway and provide the additional required information before submitting their application.
Please note: The application forms have been updated, please ensure you use the new version of the form.
The Career Pathway Academic Promotions procedure and process guidance, including application forms and process flow charts for Faculty and University Panels are available on the Human Resources web pages.
