Students, recent graduates and staff continue to make us #ProudtobeGre here’s a roundup of some of our recent successes.

Congratulations to:

  • Nathan Abraham and Wiktor Karolewski, who will be interning at City Hall and working on the Mayor's Entrepreneur competition. A competition that invites London students with smart ideas to improve their city - look out for more information about the competition when it launches.
  • Sofia Kanarelli, who graduated from Greenwich in July, whose film The Infinite Fun Palace was named Best Experimental Film at the Around International Film Festival, Berlin and the Best Experimental Short at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival (LAIFF) awards.  Sofia has also received the NYC Indie Film Festival award for Best Editing and is now a finalist for the Best Experimental Film of the Year at next year's LAIFF.
  • Bethany Cornelius, Francesca Cooney and Hannah McMeeking, all graduates from Greenwich's BSc Digital Film Production this summer, who were chosen to enter the Network Talent Scheme at the Edinburgh International Television Festival where they were able to learn practical TV making skills from top programme makers.
  • Professor Nic ClearHead of Architecture & Landscaping and PhD student Hyun Jun Park, who have been awarded first prize in The Minister of Science and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Award at the 59 Seconds SF Film Competition, which is part of the SF festival 2017 in Seoul, Korea.  For more details see the Department of Architecture & Landscape blog.
  • Roger McDonald, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Primary Education, who was elected Vice President of the UK Literacy Association (UKLA)
