Launching in early December it will provide proactive support to research colleagues and help us deliver greater impact for our research work.

Peter Griffiths, Director of Greenwich Research and Enterprise (GRE) sets out more information about the Research & Enterprise Training Institute (RETI) and how it will help us achieve our research and enterprise ambitions detailed in our research strategy.

RETI will launch in early December and will help deliver and drive through improvements in research and enterprise outcomes across the university, from postgraduate students to research group leaders.

GRE's key areas of focus are:

  • Creating a series of events, forums and spaces for researchers to network.
  • Providing proactive support to research colleagues through our Research Development Officers who will guide them through a streamlined bidding process designed to facilitate the submission of high quality research bids, and to enable researchers to focus on their areas of expertise.
  • Delivering greater impact for our research through the work of our Enterprise Development Managers.
  • Providing tailored support and training for all academics at the University, irrespective of their career stage, being rolled out in early 2018.
  • Enhancing the experience of postgraduate research students at - and their contribution to - the university.

This support structure will help increase the prominence of research and enterprise activities across the institution and ensure they are more closely embedded within our teaching and learning.

If you have any questions about the introduction of the RETI please contact Peter Griffiths.
