GRIP is the new name for the pan-university research group that supports all colleagues undertaking research into pedagogy.

Thank you to everyone who submitted suggestions for its name. Greenwich Research into Innovative Pedagogies (GRIP) was proposed by Dr Timos Almpanis, a Senior Lecturer in Teaching, Learning and Professional Development in EDU – congratulations Timos!

GRIP is the new pan-university research group led by Professor Liz Bacon, working closely with Professor Lachlan MacKinnon and Simon Walker and forms one arm of the university's Research Strategy.

We'll share more information about GRIP during roadshows on each campus in the autumn. There'll be a website and a Moodle course, a mailing list for those interested in getting involved, please email Kaya John if you would like to join.

Each Faculty has a lead for this initiative. These are:

  • Kristina Masuwa-Morgan (FES),
  • Jane Barnard (FEH),
  • Gabriella Cagliesi (FoB) and
  • Liz Bacon (ACH).

Please keep them informed of your interest and activities so work can be coordinated.
