The programme for the Open Lectures in Teaching, Learning & Assessment in HE for the academic year 2017-18 has now been finalised. The open lectures cover a range of topics that will be of interest to the wide HE community of academics and academic-related professionals.
The confirmed speakers for the academic year 2017-18 are:
- Tuesday 24 October – Professor Simon Lancaster on 'Learning Gain'
- Wednesday 22 November – Professor Richard Hall on 'Critical Pedagogy'
- Thursday 7 December – postponed, will now take place on Thurs 3 May
- Tuesday 30 January 2018 – Professor Steve Wheeler on 'Developing Digital Capabilities'
- Thurs 8 March 2018 – WonkHE editor, Mark Leach on 'Future directions of UK Higher Education Policy'
- Thurs 3 May 2018 - Professor Ros Luckin on 'Artificial Intelligence and its impact on Education' (rescheduled from 7 December 2017)
All lectures are scheduled to take place in Queen Anne Court 065 (Greenwich campus) between 5.30-6.30pm and will also be broadcast live via Panopto – links will follow closer the time - and afterwards the recordings will be uploaded to our Vimeo site.
