Student survey results for 2018, and looking ahead to 2019

TLDRoffon

Student feedback is important to the university, in January two student surveys – the NSS and newly renamed Greenwich Student Survey (GSS) open for all of our undergraduate students.

We have shared results of the 2018 USS and PTES on the student portal:

Both surveys in 2018 had elements provided by, or were run in cooperation with Advance HE, a charitable body funded by higher education institutions to improve learning and teaching, equal opportunities and leadership in higher education.  This allows us to compare our results with those of the sector and with similar groups of universities, such as London universities.

2019 student surveys

In 2019 the USS will be renamed the Greenwich Student Survey (GSS) and will take place alongside the National Student Survey (NSS).

Both surveys start on 28 January.

The GSS will be open for four weeks and all non-final year undergraduates will be invited to complete the survey which is based on the NSS questions with some additions, using Evasys.

The sector-wide, independently managed NSS will launch for final year undergraduates in the week beginning 28 January 2019 and close as usual on 30 April.

Information and guidance will be available to staff via a Moodle course, and information for students about the surveys will be published on the student portal as the opening date approaches.
