Vlad chose Greenwich because of its historical campus and unique degree offering.

Vlad Horatiu Savin has just completed the second year of his BA Hons in Business Psychology at the university's Greenwich Campus. Originally from Romania, Vlad moved to the UK as a teenager and chose Greenwich because of the history of the campus and the uniqueness of the degree subject on offer.

"Greenwich is one of only four UK universities that offer this degree. After doing some research and talking to the course leader at Greenwich, I became very keen to become a part of it," explains Vlad.

So far, the university is more than living up to his expectations: "It was very easy for me to make friends because everybody is so friendly, while the course leaders have made it very easy for me to understand the requirements of my assignments. Oh, and I've seen a couple of movie stars on campus because The Crown was filmed here."

Before coming to university, Vlad spent a year working in Maastricht for the UN, and is now a member of the Model United Nations (MUN) Association at the university, which involves travelling to conferences in the UK and abroad.

As well as the help he's had with his CV and application for his work placement, Vlad has found the university's workshop and seminars on preparing for the world of work very useful. He's about to start his placement year at Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances (BSH), after which he'll return for his final year.

Once he graduates, the sky's the limit. As Vlad says, "I believe that through hard work and dedication I can achieve my dream of working for a multinational company and later become an entrepreneur."
