Careers and employability Business School

Our students work towards entering good careers after they have completed their studies. We support students, helping them find placements and internships as well as giving practical advice on writing CVs and preparing them for assessment centres and interviews.

"I really appreciate the support and guidance that the Business School Employability Office provided which really boosted my confidence and made me believe in myself. As a result, I have secured a placement position at the NHS."

The business world needs graduates with sound business skills and the ability to operate effectively outside their own countries. Our programmes are designed to meet this demand and provide students with a thorough understanding of the international context in which business operates.

We provide an environment that allows students to maximise their potential. The behaviours, values, skills and attributes that we expect our students to develop will prepare them for future careers.

Approximately 90% of our graduates are productively engaged in employment within six months of graduation or have continued studying to a higher level from 2016-2017.

All undergraduates have the opportunity to undertake a placement year before beginning their final year of undergraduate study. These are real, paid and unpaid vacancies in private, public and not-for-profit organisations where you can gain work experience that will benefit your career prospects and earning potential.
