Employability and Careers

SPARK Mentoring

SPARK Mentoring is the one to one mentoring scheme supporting students of the Faculty of Engineering and Science. Industry mentors are matched with mentees for 4-6 months to improve their employability.

What is SPARK Mentoring?

The SPARK that ignites your career.

The scheme offers those working in industry the opportunity to become a mentor and pass on their experience and knowledge to the next generation of graduates.

For students who would like to become mentees, it is the chance to be paired with someone who can offer invaluable careers advice to help you achieve your goals.

SPARK Mentoring occurs on Ask Alumni+

  • This occurs on the Ask Alumni+ platform where meetings can be scheduled via in person, direct message or video call.
  • For mentees, full training is provided via a workshop which can be booked on the SPARK Mentoring Community page.
