Holly's Clearing Story

I had no clue what I wanted to do

Holly was expecting to study dentistry but had a last-minute change of heart.

She joined the University of Greenwich through UCAS Clearing, where she decided to side-step to a physical science and postpone her original plans to a later date.

"I had no clue what I wanted to do", she says. "I was supposed to go and study dentistry, but I changed my mind last minute.

"Now I'm studying chemistry and doing dentistry later on in the future."

Holly has relished her new beginnings at our Medway Campus, enjoying the university's close-knit community and the impressive contact time with our teaching staff.

Jacky's Clearing Story

At the last minute, I changed my mind.

Jacky was ready to start university but at the last minute she realised that she wanted to change subjects.

The solution? She called the UCAS Clearing team at Greenwich to find out what her options were.

"They were very calm," she says. "I felt it was quite easy to talk to them. They were very straightforward and told me how to do things step by step."

Jacky's tips for anyone considering Clearing - remain as calm as possible.

"When you're stressed nothing good ever happens," she says. "Have a good idea of the course that you want to do and the university that you want to go to."
