Naomi Narramore is a Senior Lecturer for Children's Nursing in the Department of Family Care & Mental Health at the University of Greenwich.

Naomi trained as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) at the Nightingale School of Nursing, St Thomas' Hospital London, then as a Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) at Thomas Guy School of Nursing, Guy's Hospital London.

She has worked in both the NHS and independent sectors caring for sick children with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.

Naomi joined the university in 2004, lecturing on the pre-registration nursing programmes and main lead for developing simulated practice within children's nursing.

  • 1993-2004, Ward Sister/various posts, NHS District General Hospitals and the Independent Sector
    Developing knowledge of caring for children with various medical conditions, including oncology, as well as continuing to care for children having surgery
  • 1986-93, Various posts, St Thomas Hospital London and Guys Hospital London
    On various wards, gaining significant experience in a variety of children's surgical procedures
  • Senior Lecturer, Children's Nursing, Department of Family Care & Mental Health
  • Lecturer on pre-registration Children's Nursing programme
  • Lead for developing simulated practice
  • External Examiner, pre-registration and post-registration Children's Nursing, University of East Anglia, 2009-14
  • Member of South London Simulation Network
  • Safeguarding Representative and Disclosure Officer for a local church

Developing and evaluating simulated practice within pre-registration nursing, particularly at the University of Greenwich.
