What we teach

Biology and biomedical science

As a biology or biomedical science student at our Medway Campus, you’ll gain a solid foundation in the subject and have the option to study related areas such as pharmacology and life sciences. Some degree courses include fully funded international field trips and you will be taught by experts whose research is changing lives around the world.

Chemical engineering

As a chemical engineering student, you will gain the knowledge and skills to work as a professional engineer using state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and simulation software on our Medway Campus.


Study a chemistry degree accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry at our Medway Campus in Kent, where our commitment to teaching chemistry has a century-old reputation for excellence.

Civil engineering

As a civil engineering student at our Medway Campus, you will learn pioneering approaches using state-of-the-art surveying equipment and learn how to apply them in real world scenarios.

Electrical and electronic engineering

As an electrical and electronic engineering student, you will study in specialist lab facilities and benefit from our close ties with engineering companies such as BAE Systems and Ford.


As an engineering student at our Medway Campus, you will gain a solid foundation in all aspects of engineering. This allows you to choose the area you want to specialise in later in your studies.

Engineering management

As a student of engineering management or design, innovation and entrepreneurship, you’ll gain solid technical and business enterprise management skills and benefit from specialist and integrated lab facilities at our Medway Campus.

Engineering technology

Studying engineering technology at our Medway Campus will give you the skills and knowledge to drive changes in product design using the latest technological advances.
