Suspension of programme

Who can apply?
- All students are eligible to apply for funding.
- International students are not able to receive funding for an internship in their home country.
When can I go?
- Placements must take place outside of teaching time
- For current students, placements must be completed by the 14th September 2020
- For recent graduates, placements must be completed within 12 months of graduation
Eligible Placements
- Placements must be full-time
- Placements must be for a minimum of two months
- Placements must take place in one of the countries below:
All EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (continuing students only), Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
EFTA EEA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway. (Please note, Switzerland is not eligible.)
Candidate countries: Turkey, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

Students with a household income of under £25000 can apply
for an additional €20 per month.
How to apply
- Step one: Find a placement
- Step two: Submit an online application for funding
- Applications must be submitted at least two months before the start of your placement. For placements taking place after graduation, applications must be submitted before graduation
- You must upload evidence that you have been offered a placement
How to find a placement
Students are responsible for sourcing their own placements, but here is some guidance:
- Speak to the Employability and Careers Service for advice
- Get in touch directly with an organisation with which you are interested in working
- Search for opportunities using the below websites:
- erasmusintern.org - a website which advertises internships across Europe.
- eurodesk.org.uk – a European network which offers work and voluntary opportunities
