The university offers a wide range of programmes and modules incoming students can choose from during their studies.

Choosing your Modules

Study Abroad and Exchange students can choose modules from across the university, though they should take at least 50% of their modules in one Faculty.

**Please note that students studying at the Avery Hill or Greenwich campuses can choose modules offered at either campus.  Students studying modules at the Medway campus (Faculty of Engineering and Science) can only take modules at the Medway campus.**

Erasmus+ students normally need to take modules from their subject area outlined in the university's Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional agreement.

Students should usually select a minimum of 8 modules per term during their studies (this includes 4 alternate modules in case a module is unavailable or there is a timetable clash).  Modules will only be fully confirmed once the term starts at Greenwich.  Students will have one week after the start of term to add or drop a module.

All students must study with us full-time as follows:

  • 60 Greenwich credits/4 modules of 15 credits each:
    • Equivalent to 30 ECTS per term (4 modules of 7.5 ECTS credits)
    • Equivalent to 12-15 US credits per term (4-5 modules of 3 US credits)

Language Requirements

Erasmus+ and Study Abroad students are required to have a minimum language level of B2 as defined by the Council for Europe's Framework for European Language levels.

Students who wish to improve their foreign language skills can study on the university's pre-sessional English programmes before starting their studies.

Please note that final timetables for the new academic year will be finalised in July each year and students' modules are confirmed once they register at the start of term. The below lists are subject to change and we advise incoming students to be flexible in their course choices in the case of timetable clashes.
