Network shared areas provide users with a place where information can be written and shared with other users. All users of a department will use a common drive letter to access the share (eg. U:/ drive)

The shared area filestores are secure and reliable locations in which to save your files. Each faculty and directorate have a dedicated shared area, with many also including specific sub folders accessible by only small groups. Requests to access additional shared areas will be passed to line managers for approval.

Eligibility

The service is available to all members of university staff. Some students may be provided with an area to upload files to, but this will be course specific and you will be notified if this area is available to you.
