Its initial focus is on upgrading our student computing facilities in labs, libraries, open access computing areas and ILS-supported teaching rooms across the university.
The project will deliver the most up-to-date Microsoft operating system to all managed workstations across the university, including staff offices. The rollout is starting with student computing facilities including podium machines in lecture theatres and classrooms, and when this is complete we will schedule a coordinated staff rollout.
Each university workstation will have a standard configuration incorporating the most common software, which can have additional software added as agreed with Faculties and Directorates through the Applications Management (AMP) process.
