Violence Against Women and Girls at Home: Domestic Abuse and the Pandemic

Early on in the pandemic, Dr Camille Stengel partnered with social justice enterprise Justice Studio and violence against women and girls charity Solace Women’s Aid to conduct research about the impact of the COVID-related lockdown restrictions had on survivors of domestic abuse, as well as the impact of service providers who respond to survivors needs. Part of this project was made possible by funding through the FLAS ECR Network. Justice Studio published a report on the project, and interviewed Dr Stengel and the director of Justice Studio for a blog as part of the launch. As part of this research, Dr Stengel also helped work on a response that was published by the Human Rights Joint Committee in July 2020.
