The University of Greenwich has been ranked as one of the top 300 universities in the world in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The University of Greenwich has been ranked as one of the top 300 universities in the world in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

In results published today, Greenwich ranked in the top 251-300 group of universities for Psychology. It was also placed in the top 500 in pre-clinical, Clinical & Health studies, and top 800 globally in Physical Sciences.

Vice Chancellor of the University, David Maguire, said: "To be in the top 300 globally is a huge achievement. Our commitment to teaching and research excellence continues to move us up the global university rankings.

"This is great news but we are always keen to improve further, and will continue to focus on giving our students the abilities to excel in their chosen fields."

Rankings are made based on thirteen performance indicators grouped into the areas of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.

Greenwich improved on its position last year in four out of the five areas of assessment, with significant improvement in international outlook (up to 97.9 from 84.7 in 2018) and research – up to 13.6.

The university has international students from 168 countries, and there are 17,450 students studying overseas and over 20,000 learning in the UK.
