University of Greenwich Campus-based workshops

Greenwich Learning and Teaching (GLT) offers a series of developmental workshops for staff related to learning and teaching activities.

Adjusting to Blended Learning Environment (ABLE)

In response to the current circumstances, we have developed the Moodle site - Adjusting to Blended Learning Environment (ABLE) - to support staff with teaching, assessing and supporting students during 2020/2021. This is complemented by a number of online workshops listed below that you can book in the usual way.

You can find further information and resources on adjusting your teaching to a blended learning environment on the ABLE guidance hub here.

For further support with Mentimeter, please visit our dedicated Mentimeter webpage, book on one of the below workshops or attend the weekly drop-in session on Fridays 13:00 - 14:00 by joining this meeting link.

Please get in touch with if you have any questions.

Greenwich Learning and Teaching (GLT) works with faculties and departments to develop a continuing professional development programme for all staff engaged in learning and teaching.

The workshops are free to attend and a place can be booked by completing the booking form on the respective event page. The sessions are aimed at colleagues who are interested in developing their existing knowledge of innovative practices relating to teaching, learning and assessment, and at colleagues with limited knowledge of particular areas of student support who are seeking to fill those gaps.

The interactive and engaging online sessions cover a range of topics from technology enhanced learning tools to assessment and feedback strategies. These sessions offer the opportunity to share good practice, learn new things, and develop ourselves as professionals. Participating in these sessions with colleagues across the university also allows time for networking and sharing of experiences regarding teaching and learning.

The CPD programme also complements the GOLD scheme, which helps you to build a case towards gaining professional recognition with AdvanceHE. Staff can gain Fellowship at one of four levels: Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow.

If there are specific areas of learning and teaching that you would like to explore further or develop into a workshop for your department or faculty, you can contact us at

We welcome contributions to the programme from the whole of the university's academic and professional services staff community. If you are interested in delivering a workshop in 2020/21, please complete the GLT CPD workshop outline form and return to
