Dr Georgia Sakellari MEng, MSc (MBA), PhD

Senior Lecturer

Dr. Georgia Sakellari is a Senior Lecturer in Disruptive Technologies, with particular interest in performance and energy efficiency in heterogeneous Internet of Things environments and edge computing. She is currently P.I. for the €6.3M H2020 C4IIoT project (€250K), on building an Industrial IoT cyber security framework for malicious and anomalous behaviour anticipation, detection, mitigation and end-user informing, and co-PI for H2020 EUNOMIA project on establishing the trustworthiness of information posted on social media.

Dr. Sakellari has a PhD in Computer Networks from Imperial College, a MSc (MBA) in Techno-Economic Systems and a MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. She is on the editorial board of Elsevier's Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory Journal, has served as co-Organiser of the international conference IEEE ISCIS and co-Chair of the international PerNEM workshops in IEEE PERCOM. Currently she is also serving as expert evaluator and reviewer for the European Commission on projects related to HPC, Public Open Data, and reliable distributed systems. Before joining Greenwich, she was a Senior Lecturer in Distributed Systems and Networking at Middlesex University, a Lecturer at the University of East London and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London.
