Senior Lecturer


Dr. Barthel is Senior Lecturer with research interests in the areas of applied Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Human-Data Interaction (HDI) and Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning. He has a PhD from the University of Nottingham and many years of industry experience in designing human-centered technologies as consultant and chief technology officer. He is a member of the University's IoT and Security (ISEC) research group, and TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework) coordinator for Computing
