Senior Lecturer in Business Planning and Innovation

Dr Chunjia Han is a senior lecturer in business planning and innovation. He has over 10 years of experience of working with business development, strategic innovation and digital economy, both as a practitioner and an academic. Previously, he worked at Beijing Jiaotong University and Southampton University. 

He currently is a visiting professor in the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University.

Research / Scholarly interests

Dr Han's expertise mainly lies in strategic innovation and digital economy. There are five coherent themes:

  • Innovation management, including open innovation, user innovation and service innovation
  • Entrepreneurship, including digital entrepreneurship, business model and entrepreneurial finance
  • Digital economy, including digital marketing, sharing economy, initial coin offering, crowdfunding, crowd-sourcing and social media
  • Digital technology, including machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, big data, block-chain
  • Tourism and M&A
    Dr Han is interested in supervising PhD students in the above areas.
