Ms Maleeha Ashraf teaching in FE and HE for past 12 years in the United Kingdom. She joined the Business School at University of Greenwich in 2018 as Teaching Fellow in MBA IB. She graduated from The University of Punjab (Pakistan), with MBE and later from the University of Wollongong (Australia) with Master of International Business (MIB) and University of Greenwich MA by Research and currently working towards her PhD in Higher Education and Social Sciences at Institute of Education (IOE) University College London (UCL). In 2017, she joined University of Oxford (continuing education department) to complete ‘Effective Online Course Design’ that added value to manage virtual learning environment in higher education. She has worked as Programme Leader with Further Education Institutions to deliver the university programmes (Top-Up BA Hons Business & Management) She is a fellow member with Higher Education Association since 2018.

Awards

Maleeha was awarded scholarship from Wasdea University (Japan) to attend an International Exchange programme. UCL conference scholarship to attend 3rd Asian International Conference, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Most recently, awarded scholarship from the University of Greenwich to attend Harvard Business School (HBS) ‘Sustainable Business Strategy’ programme.

Research / Scholarly interests

Maleeha`s PhD research was focused on ‘mentoring relationship between early career researchers and senior academic in HE’ that could help the HEIs to retain the students and to achieve good progress.

Key funded projects

Prior joining UoG, Maleeha worked as a research assistant prepare a research report for British Council Pakistan (a funded research project). This research report aimed at providing the situational analysis for Women in Pakistan. She is interested to work on women empowerment and Gender Discrimination in HE with Professor Denise Hawkes
