Research / Scholarly interests

Dr Perra's research focuses on human dynamics, big-data analytics, network science and mathematical/digital epidemiology. In particular, his interests lie on: the characterization and modelling of dynamical processes unfolding on time-varying and multiplex networks, human adaptive behaviours, data-driven modelling of infectious diseases, the study of Online/Offline Social Networks, and centrality measures in complex networks.

Key funded projects

Dr Perra has been co-PI and key personnel in several grants financed by NIH, IARPA, DARPA, and DTRA. The topics of such projects ranged from the creation of predictive tools able to characterize the spreading of infectious diseases to the theoretical development of time-varying networks.
