Gina Finnerty

Dr Gina Finnerty BEd (Hons), PhD

Senior Lecturer in Midwifery

Gina’s core area of academic interest is midwifery craft knowledge. An exploration of the embodied expertise of senior midwives is in progress. She is also involved in simulation and is involved in research projects using virtual reality, for example, use of digital patients in perinatal mental health and end of life care. Gina is a Practice Lead and a member of the Centre for Professional Workforce Development.
