Leading think-tank hails Greenwich's world-class research

The University of Greenwich was praised for the quality of its research at the launch of a report by leading university think-tank Million+. The report, called Research that Matters, was launched at the House of Commons on Tuesday, 17 May. It called for the government to show a commitment to providing research funding to modern universities, and to avoid concentrating future funding on a small number of 'elite' institutions.

Jacqueline's royal appointment

A University of Greenwich research student has been presented with the MBE by Prince Charles. Jacqueline McKenna, who is Director of Nursing at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, is studying part-time for her PhD in Nursing and has just completed the first year of her studies with the University’s School of Health and Social Care. She received the MBE for Services to Health and Nursing.
