Guidance for Support Work Agencies and Assessment Centres

All staff, students, affiliates and visitors of the university will need a new card from September 2014. The new Greenwich Gateway card will serve as an ID card. It will be particularly important for anyone who wants to visit the Stockwell Street Building (Greenwich Campus). Access will only be allowed by using your card on entry and exit - NO CARD NO ACCESS.

New regular support workers for the University of Greenwich

You will need to register for an affiliate account with the university and collect an affiliate Greenwich Gateway Card in good time prior to your visit to Stockwell Street and other campus buildings.

  • The university's Student Wellbeing Services will verify and approve your account 
  • You will receive e-mail notification to confirm when your affiliate account has been successfully created. After receiving e-mail confirmation, please proceed to step 4 below.
  • When you next visit the university campus, visit the campus Student Centre to have your photo taken for the card. The Student Centre staff member will issue your new card.
  • Use your new affiliate card to enter and access Stockwell Street.

Current regular support workers for the University of Greenwich

You will need to ensure that you have an up-to-date affiliate account with the university, and collect a new affiliate Greenwich Gateway Card prior to your visit to Stockwell Street and other campus buildings.

  1. Please check your affiliate account details by signing into your account: http://gre-arms.gre.ac.uk   
    • If your account is active you will only see your personal details.
    • If your account is disabled or expired then you will be asked to enter in the office you are affiliated with (e.g. Office of Student Affairs) and reasons for requesting a new/reactivated account. You will receive e-mail notification when your account has been updated. After receiving e-mail confirmation, please proceed to step 2 below.
  2. When you next visit the campus, visit the Student Centre to request a new affiliate card. The Student Centre staff member will issue your new card. Please return your old affiliate card to the Student Centre staff.
  3. Use your new affiliate card to enter and access Stockwell Street.

Temporary support worker visiting the Stockwell Street Building at short notice

You will need to report to the Stockwell Street Facilities Management Receptionist on arrival at the building, explain the situation and supply the name of the student you are supporting.  Your details will be entered into a visitor's book, and you will be issued with a Visitor Greenwich Gateway Card. The Visitor Card will be valid for a short period (1-3 days).
